The best 4th of July celebration in Austin, Texas is a weekend! Willie Nelson's 4th of July Picnic will once again descend upon Germania Insurance Amphitheater in Austin on Saturday, July 4th, 2026. A fun-filled picnic concert experience complete with fireworks, the show will go on from 2:00 PM until dark.
Iconic Music Icon, Willie Nelson & Family, will perform hits such as "On the Road Again", "Forever on My Mind" and songs from his 2024 release The Border, plus more! Also performing will be Grammy Award Winning Singer/Songwriter and Blue Grass King Billy Strings and critically acclaimed indie-rock band, Wilco. Nine time Grammy Award Winner, Singer/Songwriter and Rock Icon, Sheryl Crow will also make an appearance.
The Willie Nelson and Friends Live Experience will feature not only performances by Willie Nelson but also his son, Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter and producer Lukas Nelson, up-and-coming star Stephen Wilson Jr., celebrated singer/songwriter Margo Price, country music icon Rodney Crowell and Nelson’s protégée Lily Meola.

The Willie Nelson 4th of July Picnic and Fireworks show will return Saturday, July 4th, 2026 at the Germania Insurance Amphitheater in Austin. Some of the world’s best artists will be on hand to perform at the festival, which will be headlined by Willie Nelson & Family, as well as Billy Strings, Grammy nominated and acclaimed rock band Wilco, Grammy winner Sheryl Crow, Lukas Nelson, Stephen Wilson Jr., Grammy nominated singer/songwriter Margo Price, Grammy winner Rodney Crowell and New Zealand’s Lily Meola. The festival will also feature world class fireworks.
Classic EPIC live versions of On the Road Again, Always on My Mind, Crazy, Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain and many more songs by the outlaw country pioneer Willie Nelson. A true legend, Willie has been releasing quality music for over 60 years and this 2024 album The Border is no exception.
He has won over 10 Grammy Awards, numerous CMA Awards and has been inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame since 1993. He received the Kennedy Center Honor in 1998 and the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize in 2015. And in 2023, Willie Nelson was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Billy Strings performs songs like “Dust in a Baggie,” “Away From the Mire,” and “Watch It Fall,” you can feel the massive energy that radiates from both his impressive guitar work and explosive stage presence. His 2024 release Highway Prayers is just the latest installment in his journey as a truly groundbreaking artist.

Renowned songwriter and performer Rodney Crowell will perform songs that he wrote including I Couldn’t Leave You If I Tried, After All This Time and She’s Crazy For Leaving.
An accomplished artist, Crowell has written over 65 recorded songs including two Grammy Awards. He is also a member of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame and received the Americana Music Lifetime Achievement Award.
Hawaii's own Lily Meola has gained a following with her honest and organic sounding folk-pop songs such as "Daydream," "Butterfly," and "Sunshine."
Golden Buzzer winner from America's Got Talent (2022) Lily brings her heartfelt and soulful performance to the festival.
